Born and bred in the serene and beautiful westphalian countryside. Did not want to leave that behind and moved to Münster for his studies. Bayern supporter since he happened to watch a game of football on TV at his grandmother's as a child, and those with the red jerseys won. Watched his first game of football live at a stadium at the ripe old age of 17(!), when he was asked by a friend to go see a game with him. The match was a comprehensive Schalke 4 against Duisburg 0. Still does not like Schalke a great deal.
Save for his dislike of Schalke, he holds rather controversial views on football: likes RB Leipzig, considers allowing investors in football an opportunity rather than a threat, sees a chance for human rights in Bayern travelling to Qatar for training, and regards establishing multi-club networks like Red Bull or Manchester City as the future of football.
