Born and bred in the serene and beautiful Westphalian countryside. Did not want to leave that behind and moved to Münster for his studies. Bayern supporter since he happened to watch a game of football on TV at his grandmother's as a child, and those with the red jerseys won. Watched his first game of football live in a stadium at the ripe old age of 17(!), when he was asked by a friend to go see a game with him. The match was a comprehensive Schalke 4 against Duisburg 0. Still does not like Schalke very much.
Save for his dislike of Schalke, he holds rather controversial views about football: likes RB Leipzig, considers allowing investors in football an opportunity rather than a threat, sees a chance for human rights in Bayern travelling to Qatar for training, and regards establishing multi-club networks as Red Bull or Manchester City do as the future of football.
Works mainly as a translator for 'Miasanrot'. May some day find the time and energy for a background article (but don't hold your breath).
