Winter transfer: Sandro Wagner returns to FC Bayern

3 Things We Noticed: FC Bayern – Borussia Dortmund 2-1 (2-0)

A win is a win! Bayern beat Dortmund 2-1 and reach the cup quarterfinals. It was a win that was both not clear enough and lucky. Dortmund travelled to Munich, having just hired a new coach in Peter Stöger. Both teams secured a rather lucky but certainly feel-good win on Bundesliga matchday 17, as Bayern […]

3 Things We Noticed: VfB Stuttgart – FC Bayern 0-1 (0-0)

Bayern manage to end the first half of the season on a high note – at least in terms of the result. A difficult, lucky win in Stuttgart all but brings the year 2017 to a close. Stuttgart – with Holger Badstuber leading the defense – are having a bit of an unlucky season. Coach […]

MSR-EN011 Injuries, injuries and more injuries

Host Susie and guest Tobi run through a trio of matches that saw Jupp Heynckes finally suffer his first defeat during his fourth tenure at Bayern Munich while getting a few words in about Bayern Munich’s Annual General Meeting and the persistent rumours of Sandro Wagner as Robert Lewandowski’s back-up.

Before the breakdown of Bayern’s breakdown in form, the few interesting points of the Jahreshauptversammlung are discussed; namely: Why are people that don’t live in Germany members of the club? What is and is not liked about the plans for the new stadium seating? How in the world did Munich manage to wrangle 46mil euro for Douglas Costa? (And a little bonus bit at the end.)

Then it’s on to a rather typical win for FCB over Augsburg. Although the pair does mention an uncommon(ly good) performance from Arturo Vidal, it’s fairly cut-and-dry before they move on to the next two games.

A terrible first half at Anderlecht is agreed upon, but the manner of which it happened is not, but both Susie and Tobi could definitely agree on how devastating the losses of Thiago and Arjen Robben to injury played out in the match and the next.

Continuing on the downward slide Bayern’s form has taken of late– painfully obvious at Gladbach–, Susie and Tobi rue the lack of creative options available to the club currently, chat about Niklas Suele’s no-good-very-bad day, and debate a much better second half for the visitors.

Thoughts on Sandro Wagner close out Episode 12, with a little about TV shows and what Susie can’t stand while watching Game of Thrones.

Thank you, as always, for listening. Mia san mia.

3 Things We Noticed: RSC Anderlecht – FC Bayern 1-2 (0-0)

It’s not often that the second-to-last game in the Champions League group stage has this little importance – and this fact was obvious from the team’s performance throughout the game. It was a weak game that wasn’t the only annoying thing on this Wednesday evening. Anderlecht vs FC Bayern, starting formations 3 Things we noticed: […]

3 Things We Noticed: Borussia Dortmund – FC Bayern 1:3 (0:2)

FC Bayern beat BVB in a passionate 3-1 clash. Due to this win, Bayern extend their league lead. Before the last international match break, the signs were diametrically opposed. Bayern had just given away consecutive two-goal leads, while Dortmund were leading the table. This time, with a three-point lead and odds in their favor, the […]
